Meet the Team

C.N. PATEL – Chairman & CEO
C.N. Patel provides Clover Hotel Group with exceptional leadership and expertise in all aspects of the Company’s management and development activities. He directs and supervises all day-to-day functions of the Company and spends a significant portion of his time on the ongoing construction projects the Company undertakes. As CEO, C.N. is responsible for overall guidance and strategic planning for the Company.

Raised in India, C.N. earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Bardoli College before immigrating to the United States in 1969. Here he earned his Electrical Engineering Degree from Chicago Tech. He worked in several engineering positions. C.N. started CHG in 1989 and since then has served on the International Operators Council for Choice Hotels, Inc. for seven years including a two year term as Regional Chair and a one year term as Vice-President of the organization. He also served on the Industry Relations committee for AAHOA. Due to C.N.’s leadership roles in various industry organizations he is widely known and well respected in the lodging Industry. CN has also been designated as a Certified Hotel Administrator by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.

RICK PATEL – Director & CFO
Rick is responsible for all aspects of the financial functions at Clover Hotel Group. He directs the treasury cash management, and oversees the payroll, accounts payable, and the financial reporting for the Company. Rick plays an integral role in CHG’s financial success. His focus is solely on the Company’s long term profitability, through sound accounting practices, budgeting, tax planning, and risk management.

Raised in both India and the West Indies, Rick assisted his family in developing a successful and well-known retail enterprise in Trinidad, before immigrating to the United States in 1980. Here he, with his brother and father, purchased and managed his first hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then Rick has been involved in the development and management of many different hotel properties throughout the Southeast.

SAMIR PATEL – Director & Counsel
Samir Patel advises Clover Hotel Group on all of its legal matters. As the Company’s counsel, he manages all of the Company’s acquisitions and sale transactions. Samir is responsible for all aspects of the Company’s transactions, including contract negotiations, title matters, financing documentation, and closings.

In addition to his legal duties, Samir is responsible for identifying and executing new development opportunities in markets around the Southeast. Samir concentrates on maintaining key relationships within the lodging industry which gives the Company a competitive advantage in future growth and sustainability.
Samir grew up in the hotel business throughout his childhood. He graduated from Georgia State University College of Law in 2003 and was admitted to practice law in Georgia in 2004 and is an active Member of State Bar of Georgia. During his time at Georgia State University, he also received a Master in Business Administration. In 2000, he received a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He is also currently an Associate Attorney at an Atlanta based law firm.
